Learn To Skate
Welcome to Learn to Skate!
The Learn to Skate Program at IceWorks is part of Learn to Skate USA is endorsed by US Figure Skating/USA Hockey and US Speed Skating and Special Olympics. The program is designed to provide a fun and positive experience that will instill a lifelong love of skating.
IceWorks Learn to Skate Program includes six 30 minute on ice professionally instructed group lessons, Learn to Skate USA membership for the season, 3 free skate rental passes, 6 Public Skate Passes, 1 Bring a Buddy coupon, 1 10% off coupon towards skates in the IceWorks Pro Shop, and patches upon completion of levels.
This program is offered within our Learn to Skate Program to develop the fundamental skills needed for Basic Hockey. This will include starts, stops, forward and backward skating, turns and transitions. (No pucks) This is a requirement for advancing to Learn to Play Hockey. An evaluation by our Hockey Director and his staff will determine the ability of skaters to move into the Learn to Play Program. As a General rule, skaters are eligible to move to the Learn to Play Program once they have mastered the fundamental skills of Basic Hockey 1 and 2. It is highly recommended that players who do move on, continue to develop their skills in Basic Hockey 3 and 4.
